Fantasy World Manager Wiki
Fan-Made Community GuideFantasy World Manager is a worldbuilding and simulation tool, not a city builder with a construction queue. You paint a map, define items, races, cultures and factions in the editors, then let the simulation run and watch what happens. This wiki explains that order using the developer's patch notes, Steam listings and recorded demo playthroughs as sources.

This is an unofficial fan wiki for Fantasy World Manager, the fantasy worldbuilding and simulation project by developer Florian Alushaj, published by Legendary Pixels. It exists because the game asks players to author resources, items, races, cultures, religions and factions by hand before anything moves, and the order of that work is not obvious from the editors alone.
Every page is written from saved public material: the Steam store listing, the developer's Steam announcements and demo patch notes, Steam Community discussion threads, and recorded demo playthroughs. Where a detail came from a June 2026 demo build, the page dates it, because the Early Access build is scheduled for October 28, 2026 and the developer says several simulation systems are still being expanded.
Nothing here is presented as official, and no page fills a gap with a guess. If the saved material does not answer a question about mechanics, prices or platforms, the page says so and points at the store listing instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Fantasy World Manager need before my first world runs?
A painted map alone does not move the simulation. The world needs resources, inhabitants, zones and activities defined so characters have something to do. The Beginner World Setup Guide recommends starting from the tutorial and one manageable settlement rather than an entire continent.
How much terrain does the Fantasy World Manager tutorial ask you to paint?
The demonstrated tutorial asks for at least 40,000 ground tiles, 100 trees and 10 mountains. Those are completion requirements for that assignment, not a recommended ratio for every world, and the guide suggests leaving recognisable space for your settlement.
How do races, cultures, religions and factions work in Fantasy World Manager?
They are separate definitions: races carry configurable character stats, cultures carry stat bonuses, religion has its own editor, and a faction can be assigned ownership of a zone. The developer acknowledged limited variation in the demo and said all of them feed the simulation.
Why can't I find creatures to place in a Fantasy World Manager zone?
Defining a creature and placing it are two steps. Create the animal in the creature editor first, then return to the zone and add a creature-spawn entry with a maximum count. Spawned animals can also be small enough to miss on the map, so check the area closely.
What does the Fantasy World Manager demo actually simulate?
The demo relies on locations you build. Buildings do not construct themselves, while heroes perform farming, hunting and fighting tasks. The developer described diplomacy, trade and basic crafting as present, and households, relationships and children as simulated, with early balance still largely peaceful.
Where should I start with the Fantasy World Manager guide for a first world?
Start with the tutorial, complete its terrain objectives, then follow its sequence of entity and zone creation. Keep the first project to one settlement with a few recognisable activities; the tutorial introduces dependencies that are easy to miss when you open the editors independently.
Will inhabitants build houses or expand my city in Fantasy World Manager?
Not in the demo. The developer said you build the world and it will not build itself, and that buildings do not construct themselves, so plan a city around what you are prepared to place. A WorldBox-style automatic mode is planned for Early Access but is not the main mode.
Why are there no animals in the Fantasy World Manager spawn list?
You likely need to create an animal in the creature editor before a zone can spawn it. After saving the creature definition, return to the zone editor and configure its creature-spawn entry; creating the definition alone does not complete the spawn setup.
Are prefabs and random generators available in every Fantasy World Manager editor?
The developer's June 2026 reply announced prefabs for everything and random generators for interfaces that still lacked them, so players are not forced into time-consuming entity creation. That was a development plan, so in the early demo some resources, inhabitants and creatures still needed manual setup.
